About our Interventional Radiology Services
Overview
Interventional Radiology at Winchester Hospital offers cutting-edge image-guided procedures that replace or complement surgery. Our technology and new modalities improve outcomes and shorten recovery. Using minimally invasive spine techniques we treat vertebral compression fractures and cancer with kyphoplasty, chronic low back pain with basivertebral nerve ablation (the Intracept Procedure) and disc herniation with injections.
We treat male infertility with varicocele embolization, benign prostate hypertrophy (BPH) with prostatic artery embolization, and uterine fibroids tumors and bleeding with embolization, as an alternative to hysterectomy. Our less invasive alternatives have proven and durable outcomes and our modern IR department expands the continuum of care for the IPA and all patients.
