Haldon grew up in Johannesburg South Africa and attended medical school at the University of the Witwatersrand. After graduating he moved to the US where he completed an internal medicine residency at Abert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia in 1997. He then relocated to Boston where he completed a second residency in radiology following by a musculoskeletal and body MRI fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Hal joined NSRA in 2002 and has been a part of the Winchester Hospital family for over 20 years. He is currently the Director of MRI and a senior member of the NSRA group. His interest is focused on MRI but covers almost all imaging specialties. His subspecialty interests include MRI arthrography, breast, and prostate MRI.

Outside of radiology Hal is married and has two adult age sons. He is an avid cyclist, SCUBA Diver, and photographer.
